How pump station monitoring works

Get accurate, real-time pump status and wet well level data from the field to your screen - without manual checks or complex setup.

1. Install the hardware

Fit a Captis data logger to monitor pump run status via a dry-contact current switch, connect a radar level sensor in the wet well, and add a flow sensor at the final manhole prior to the wet-well.

2. Data is transmitted

The devices send pump activity, level, and inflow data over CAT-M1 or NB-IoT, using internal or external antennas for reliable signal in difficult locations.

3. See alerts & trends

View live pump status, inflow correlation, and historical trends in Kallipr Kloud, or integrate with your SCADA or existing platform.

FAQs

Got questions about installation, connectivity, or sensor compatibility? We’ve answered the most common ones below to help you get started quickly and confidently.
By detecting pump failures instantly and correlating them with water level and inflow data, crews can respond before issues escalate.
Kallipr devices use market-leading technology to connect via low-power wide-area network technologies (CAT-M1 or NB-IoT) networks globally. Transmission and measurement intervals are fully configurable, letting you balance data accuracy, frequency, and latency with battery life. All data is encrypted, with built-in security features that ensure end-to-end integrity - from device to cloud to the way you use it.
Installation can be as quick as 10 minutes, and does not require confined space entry for many sites. The ease of install minimises disruption to operations and significantly reduces the cost of deployment.
Where data also needs to be sent to additional systems, Kallipr hardware supports multiple endpoint configuration, which is widely used by utilities to route data or alarms directly to SCADA or analytics environments.
Yes, the patent-pending battery technology allows for quick, tool-free battery replacement. It can be done in under 30 seconds and ensures your operations are back up and running as quickly as possible.
