Most lift station operators run reactively. A pump fails with no warning, the wet well fills, and you receive a complaint, a spill, or a call from the regulator. Across a network of remote stations, there is no live picture of what is actually happening until something goes wrong.

This ends up costing in emergency callouts, the environmental clean-up, and an SSO on the record that sits in front of the EPA and your consent decree obligations.

1. Monitor pump operation and wet well level

See wet well level in real time and confirm your pumps are cycling on and off the way they should. Track pump run-time and pump starts, and get high-level and overflow alerts the moment a station starts to behave differently.

2: Predict pump failure

Vibration sensing reads the health of the pump itself, so a pump trending toward failure is flagged while there is still time to act. You move from breakdown response to planned maintenance, and you stop the failure that would have caused the overflow.

3: Control the pumps

This is where monitoring becomes action. Combined with the Kallipr Radar Sensor and up to 3 digital outputs, the Captis S2 can switch pumps on and off automatically at the wet well levels you set. That is up to 3 pumps, each with its own level setpoint, controlled from the same device that monitors the station. It also gives you a resilient fallback if a legacy controller or RTU fails.

1. Install the hardware

Fit a Captis S2 to monitor pump run-time and pump starts via a pulse input, and add a radar level sensor (or Spectra integrated radar) in the wet well.

2. Data is transmitted

The device sends wet well level and pump data over Cat-M1 or NB-IoT, using internal or external antennas for reliable signal in underground wet wells.
