How air quality monitoring works

Get accurate, real-time particulate data from the field to your screen - no manual sampling or lab delays.

1. Install the hardware

Connect a Captis data logger with a Trolex sensor to monitor airborne dust and respirable crystalline silica (RCS) at the site.

2. Data is transmitted

Measurements are sent via CAT-M1 or NB-IoT connectivity using internal or external antennas for reliable signal, even in remote or dusty areas.

3. See alerts & reports

Get instant alerts on unsafe conditions and view trends in Kallipr Kloud - or integrate with your SCADA or reporting system.

FAQs

Got questions about installation, connectivity, or sensor compatibility? We’ve answered the most common ones below to help you get started quickly and confidently.
The system monitors dust and respirable crystalline silica (RCS) levels, which are among the most serious health risks in mining, construction, and other heavy industries.
Our solution uses industrial-grade sensors—including the Trolex Air XS—capable of detecting small fluctuations in airborne particulates to enable early warnings.
Where data also needs to be sent to additional systems, Kallipr hardware supports multiple endpoint configuration, which is widely used by utilities to route data or alarms directly to SCADA or analytics environments.
Yes. The Captis Recharge is solar-powered and built with robust LTE connectivity to ensure consistent data transmission from even the most remote locations.
Our hardware devices support:
  • Dual SIM with eSIM for global coverage
  • LTE-M and NB-IoT cellular networks
  • Future modular options for LoRa and satellite connectivity
While built for mining and construction, it’s equally suited to agriculture, quarrying, and any other sector with airborne dust or silica risks.
